Kammerorchester der ESK: Konzert am Donnerstag, 28. Juni 2007

A glorious evening, a glorious sound.

The recently formed chamber orchestra of the European School Karlsruhe gave its second public concert in the conference room of the ESK, performing works by Vivaldi and Bach in the first half of a challenging programme.

During the interval refreshments were served by members of the school's admin and teaching staff, to raise funds to support teachers working in Burundi. The cakes were made by Hannah, from class 2E of the Upper School.

In the second half of the concert the orchestra was joined by the soprano Ruxandra van der Plas Voda, for a performance of Mozart's Motet Exsultate, jubilate K165. Her wonderful voice filled the conference room, and the piece provided a fitting finale to an uplifting evening.
