The European Schools Science Symposium

Senior presentations

 

The project work from years 4-7 is prejudged. Up to a maximum of twelve projects of the highest standard are selected for oral presentation. These presentations are judged by the jury and the winner goes forward to represent the European Schools in the EUCYS ( European Union Contest for Young Scientists) which this year is to be held in Stockholm.

 

All the other senior projects are presented as posters and these were judged by post-doctorate students at EMBL.



 

We provide mother-tongue education—in different language sections—from Kindergarten up to Baccalaureate level (university entrance) for around 1000 pupils from a wide variety of backgrounds. Currently 16 languages are taught in the school, and 49 different nationalities are represented. The European Baccalaureate, awarded ONLY by the European Schools, is recognised as a qualification for university entrance by all member states of the European Union and by other countries including the USA.
