Etoile Education

Etoile Education was created on 27 July 2004 by Strasbourg-based
families, whose children would be attending the European school in
Karlsruhe as of September 2004 |

The association aims not only to provide a framework for activities
by the Strasbourg group vis-à-vis the school on general issues,
such as transport and after-school care, but also to serve and assist
members with practical matters |
|
It also aims to act as a catalyst within the Strasbourg group and
to raise awareness about educational issues |
|
The aim of this association is non-profitmaking and in the interests
of all children |

Aims of the Association

to offer all parents who so wish the opportunity to
enable their children to benefit from an education based on their
own cultural identity, a foundation for their future development as
European citizens |

to develop high educational standards in their mother tongue as
well as in foreign languages |
|
to encourage a European and global perspective |
|
to encourage their personal, social and intellectual development,
their creativity, their physical capacities |
|
to foster the importance of their European cultural heritage and
civilization; to reinforce the spirit of tolerance, co-operation,
dialogue and respect both within and outside the school community |
